How to obtain a Learner's License at RTO Alandi Road,Pune
1. Collect Form 2 from the first office you see on your left.
2. Fill up the form and see a police officer who would verify your documents. Make sure you carry one of these documents
A passport with a Pune address
A LIC policy
A Voter's ID
They pretty stingy about accepting address proofs such as telephone and electricity bills and property tax receipts.
You also need to carry an age proof and an identity proof and I guess the passport would suffice for both of them.
3. Then you need to pay the fee for the license which is Rs 30 per category(ie Rs 30 for a Light Motor Vehicle and Rs 30 for a Motor cycle with gear)
4. Adjacent to where you’ll pay the fee you’ll find a counter that is too overcrowded .It is here you’ll get yourself photographed and get your fingerprints taken.
5. After this you give an objective test which comprises of ten questions. RTO Pune has been kind enough to put up some road signs in the waiting area. Make sure you go through them. The examiners tell you what is to be done and you know your results immediately after the test is conducted.
6. You then visit counter no 4 where you are issued a learner’s license.
